Week End Cricket

Hmmm, this is a recurring activity for a lot of 20 ppl. We start the game roughly around 8.00 O clock in the morning of Saturday, based on ppl's energy either we stop with one match or play the next one then follows team breakfast at the near by hotel. Its almost 2 months since I joined them.

Today got 4 wickets for my vicious spin :-) but couldn't save my team from defeat. They posted 59 in 9.2 overs. The figure could have much bigger if Nitin had stayed at the crease. Opposite team for the first time bowled a superb line and length (not even a single extra in the first 6 overs) and won the match convincingly .... we were short of 20 odd runs, I was the last man to get out in the last over (my score? - around 10).

SPTM: Operation Sunrise

SPTM: Save Pune Traffic Movement.

I am an active member of this group. Pune's traffic is one of the worst in the country due to many reasons, bad roads (or traffic infrastructure), increasing influx of vehicles and irresponsible people. The movement is all about encouraging the like minded people to come together and to spread safe / proper commuting awareness to at least make a tiny difference.

Clean Bowled

Over the week end, followed two matches, Ind Vs Pak (Seniors and Under 19 WC final). My good ness, I thought even the Senior Indian team might have had a tough time chasing 109 against Pak U 19 bowling attack. What a bowling, great display of swing bowling (real treat to watch)... and I think they deserve the CUP just for the 2nd over bowled by Anwar Ali.

Indian senior team is becoming strong by every game. Wonderful series (4 - 1), they outplayed PAK in all departments particularly fielding (its awesome, except in 3rd ODI) and bowling (Sreesanth and RP are very consistent as per Indian bowling stds). Way to go.

R.D.B - best bolly movie

Over the weekend saw Happy, Genelia was fabulous (gals look very cute and beautiful in Punjabi dresses than any other), but mv was avg. And the best mv in bollywood (in those I have seen) Rang De Basanti (R.D.B). Its an exceptional mv well presented . The message was passed beautifully, the scenes of freedom struggle were blended so nicely that, I felt they had more effect than a straight patriotic mv and the comparison (inherent) with the current state of the country was seamless. My eyes were full of tears at many a frames ...

Wonderful Job RDB team. Hats off to you.
